The library has a premises of its own with a large reading hall and proper display facilities. The library remains open Monday–Saturday (except II and IV Saturdays and all National holidays) from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.. The library remains open on IInd & 4th Sundays to provide service to its staff member and students of DLP courses.
2. Network
The Internet was installed in the library to augment the library’s resources and to provide for the online access to other information resources on the net and in other libraries.

Like previous years library has added many books in various subjects related to textiles and allied subjects.

4. Publicity
NITRA library  co-ordinates publicity and promotion of various NITRA activities. Elaborate coverage is given to NITRA in leading textile and allied journals on different important events organised by NITRA from time to time.

These Inhouse journals are circulated only to our member mills. These journals are not priced publications and are sent free of charges,except NITRA Rank which is a priced publication.

        NITRA Publications :

Books are also published each year based on NITRA’s Research Work, Projects, Workshops and Seminars. These  books  are   available  on  sale. These   books  are  listed   together  in    the   form  of  a   catalogue. Catalogue of NITRA publication is revised every year by the library   and   the  revised copies sent to all member  mills  and non-members free of cost. The prices of the books are indicated against the titles in the catalogue and terms and conditions of sale are also given. Please see for cataloque of NITRA Publications under the heading Publications of NITRA. As per sales policy of NITRA advance payment is required and the books are despatched only after receiving the amount. The orders are being processed by the library and the books are also delivered by the library alongwith bill and the receipt of the payment.
