Software on Laboratory Testing Report and Billing System

For Testing Laboratories, it is very difficult to manage preparation of Testing Report and billing as it is very difficult and generally results in pending jobs. To avoid the occuring of this situation, a computerised system for preparing testing reports based on test results and simultaneously bills of the job work based on testing charges for the same is developed which is time saving and easy to use.

Library is a very supporting department in colleges, institute, organizations and also in industries today. To manage the system of huge library accurately and at speed, computerization of library management is need of today. Keeping this in the mind, the above-said software is developed which has the following salient features.

Integrating Organisational Information to Meet Out International Business Environment for the Textile Mills in Next Millennium    (Sponsored by Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India)

Objectives :

Through this project, an attempt has been made to bridge the existing gap in the field of Information Technology. It understands business needs and tries to develop a need based ERP system for textile mills through designing and developing a user friendly software. The project integrates different levels of information for achieving goals and objectives of the organisation. It also uses information systems to plan, organize and control work with spirit to meet business objectives and achieve success in fierce competitive environment.

Research Outcome :

Under this project, different modules of software on MIS for spinning mills have been developed. The area of different modules comprises of material management, manufacturing process, sales, production planning, costing and HRM. A spinning mill from northern India is taken as industrial partner to work on this project. Modules that have been developed currently comprises of maintenance management, quality assurance, engineering for spinning mills and dye-house. Various modules have been integrated to make one full fledged software.

 

A Software on Management Quality Control Information System (MQIS)

The management quality control information system (MQIS) is very useful for MIS report on quality control systems. This software can also be used by both composite mills/spinning mills. This software inter-relates fibre, yarn and fabric parameters for continuous process improvement at each stage in textile mills. It is based on integrated approach for quality assurance and is useful for quality control system. Further, it is also inter-connected to graphical utility for drawing up histograms, trend analysis. This software can be tailor made in accordance to the user’s needs very easily upto any extent.

A Software on Machinery Maintenance Scheduling and Record Keeping in Spinning Mills (MMSR)

This software deals with the maintenance scheduling and record-keeping of the machines in a scientific manner with a minimum time and optimum manpower. Readymade and uptodate informations about the machines and operations are easily available on computer.

A Software on Boiler Efficiency and Indirect Losses System (BEILS)

Calculation of boiler efficiency by direct and indirect method, detailed calculation of all indirect losses and measures for check the losses for efficiency improvement. Also calculation of steam cost, pressure, velocity and wall losses. Also helpful for quick decision regarding pricing, product development and framing of promotional strategies.

A Software on Management Information System in Wet Processing for Better Decision Making (WP- MIS) (Sponsored by Ministry of Information Technology , Govt. of India)

This software provides dye-house automation particularly in inventory & processing control, management decision making in value loss contribution & controls working capital cost which is being invested in the inventory of dyes & chemicals.

Development of Software on Efficient Humidification Operation

Software is completed and commercialized. It is demanded in the market. It can give you highly details about air requirement (CFM) in different seasons and day & night which leads to enormous energy saving with maintaining the required conditions in the department.
