TRAINING PROGRAMME / WORKSHOP / SEMINAR  CONDUCTED     DURING   Jan.-June. 2008

w    NITRA conducted 3-day training program on Manufacturing & Quality Evaluation of Textiles for Navy Officers at NITRA during February 2008.     

w    NITRA conducted 1-month training program on Textile Testing – Chemical & Physical for students of Vanasthali Vidya Peeth at NITRA during May-June,08.

w    NITRA conducted 1-week summer training program on Textile Testing and Quality Evaluation of Chemical & Physical for students of Lady Irwin College at NITRA during June 2008. 

w    NITRA conducted awareness program on ISO 9001:2000 for personnel of Indo-Brittish Garments at the factory premises in Faridabad during June 2008.

w    A lecture meet on Inner Engineering organized for NITRA staff in April 08.  Ms. Hajra Yasoof, faculty, Isha Foundation, Coimbatore conducted the program. 

w    Dr.M.S.Parmar & Dr.S.Kumar attended a 5-day training program on Waste Minimisation Circle Facilitator during January 2008.

w    Dr.J.V.Rao, Mr.A.K.Agarwal and Dr.M.S.Parmar attended a symposium on Hygine Disposable Textile Product in March 2008.

w    Mr. C.B. Chaurasia and Dr. Surinder Kumar attended a seminar on Environment Pollution Control in Chemical & Allied Industries at Institute of Engineers, New Delhi during the reported period.

w  NITRA is conducting 9-month intensive training program for two separate groups of Ethiopian engineers at NITRA.  The first program started in November 2007 and will complete in July 2008, whilst the second program started in February 2008 and will complete in October 2008.  Both the programs are being conducted in various areas of textiles and apparel manufacturing.
