NITRA, one of the four textile research associations located in different parts of the country was established in the year 1974 with the objective to carry out scientific research in the field of textile as well as to promote and foster scientific research studies for the extension of knowledge related to or connected with textile.

Association (NITRA) has been designated as Centre of Excellence for Protective Textiles by the Ministry of Government of India. It has expertise and technical capability for quality evaluation, product development and knowledge dissemination in the field of protective textiles.

NITRA Technical Campus (NTC)

NITRA Technical Campus (NTC) is the academic arm of NITRA set up exclusively to offer AICTE approved B. Tech programs in Engineering. The institute spreads over a huge area of 1,68,000 sq ft having buildings with latest infrastructural facilities and hostel blocks.
